Gentleman-
I do own a 1966 Sweptline. I lurk and learn. Sometime I plan to get started on my truck, but I have a different need today.
I just bought a 2008 Ram 1500 Single cab short 4x4 4.7 Auto. I want to lower it 2 inches in the front and 4 plus in the back.
I have search the manufactures and nothing comes up close except Ground Force 2008 crewcab kit. Some say it won't work
for me. Please, could some one give me some direction how or where to proceed? I know you guys are knowledgeable as I've
seen it in action! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Blessings, Rob

Re: Reaching out to the Wise.
Hi Cupcakemike-
I did call Ground Force. They say it won't fit? Or it's not made for it. Interesting Napa
told me the struts are the same in their book. If I could get struts to lower the front, I can
figure out something for the rear. I was hoping someone could direct me to a knowledgeable
source besides GF! Thanks for the reply!

Rob

I've never seen a kit to lower a 4x4. Why would you want to do that?

Some people who live in areas that have Winter like a 4wd vehicle but don't need the offroad clearance.EarlKann wrote:I've never seen a kit to lower a 4x4. Why would you want to do that?

Gentleman-
You are right. I live a half hour from our coffee shop. I need the 4x4 and I prefer
a lowered truck. (mild lowering for me) They do make kits for some. I've read that 2 inches in the
front doesn't mess up the cv joint and that's good enough for me. I actually have a 5.75 tire to finder gap
in the front and a 9 inch in the back. It has 20 inch wheels. I prefer less gap.
If I had a source.....? Do you know if Eaton Springs deal with coils?
Blessings,
Rob
