Well gentlemen, I've been a heavy user of this site for 7 whole years now. You guys have had a big part in feeding my sweptline addiction and turning me into the sweptohaulic I am today. I have met at least 30 or so of you in person and have made countless transactions with many others. This is by far the best online community out there and I honestly feel like several of you are true friends. Therefore, I felt the need to share with you all that my absence will greatly increase over the next 400 days or so. I've been a member of the Army Reserve for 9 years now as a heavy equipment operator, and today have finally received my orders for deconstruction serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. I've been bouncing back and forth from my civilian to Army job quite a bit since January preparing for this, but in just a few weeks it kicks into high gear. I'll drop in when I can, but still wanted to wish you all the best in the mean time.
Thank you for defending our country man. I am not so courageous. I don't know how you'll be able to stay away from the kids/wife for so long but I know you'll think of them every minute while you count down to your return.
If you get any chance to post from there, show us a picture of what you see out there.
Doug, I don't know you like many of the others do, but know you are a stand up guy. Appreciate your help with the trim for the '61. Best wishes for a safe deployment. Chris.
"Thank you" sounds like hollow words to say to someone who is being deployed to nasty places around the world to defend our freedoms... but Thank you, is all I can come up with.
Doug,
Best of luck to you during your deployment! Thanks for serving our country.
Whenever the opportunity arises during your time away.... definitely check in with
us.
John
Hey Doug,
I'm glad you stopped by when your were in town, and having dinner with you and Craig was great. Also thanks for picking up the tires from Patrick in OKC. Their are good people on this forum and you are one of them.
Thanks for your service, and stay safe out there!
Doug man I hate to see you go . But I know a guy has to what a guy has to do .Maybe we can have a big ole sweptline party when you get back. If you need something stored while your gone let me know. And Thank You for your service.
