1970 dued?

Post by PowerWagonJoe »

i meat this guy in North Dakota he collected power wagons he has like all years. He is getting old so he is selling them all off and he had a 1970 dued he said that is 4x4 and its factory 383 he said he bought it from a guy who said they messed it up in the factory and it ended up being a 4x4 it is an automatic with buckey seats. would this be true because he said it is a one of a kind. and it did have the dued decals on it i saw it my self and it is original paint. did they make dueds 4x4? because this guy only wants like 1500 bucks for the truck and its not that rusty.

Post up the VIN#. I've never heard of a 4x4 Dude myself. We'll
see what we can glean from that VIN#. A fellow member who
goes by "Soopernaut" is really up on the Dudes, Advnturers, etc.
and he might chime in on this one. For that matter, I'll be we hear
from a few folks. :Thumbsup

At this point, 42 or 43 years after the truck was built, there is probably no way to prove authenticity unless you can provide a build sheet. If the truck said "Dued" on the side of it, then it is fake. Since the Dude package was just a trim package, there are no production numbers or identification numbers on the truck to prove or disprove authenticity. Post the VIN from the plate on the door jamb and that will determine if it was a factory 4 wheel drive truck.

ima have to call the guy it kinda looked like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grxyKA8khPM

but it is blue i cant remeber if it had the dued on it ima have to talk to him but he said they acedntaly put the trim package on a dodge power wagon so its going to be hard to prove it because someone could of just painted the decals on it. The color of the truck is blue with the black stripe on it. is their anywere in the interior or something that says dued or anything that only dued pickups would have other than the paint job?

Does this dued guy live in Sanborn, I have seen the truck, it is not a real dued! It also had the trim over top the stripe along the swept. I have a picture of it somewhere.

Now his hat is on backwards
He can show you his tattoos

He is calling you "DUDE!"
