Here We Go Again...
Just found this one. I've spoken with the owner a couple of times and I'm hopefully dragging a trailer up there in a week or so.
'64 Short Bed, /6 3-Speed column shift.
It was purchased brand new by the gentleman's father and it came into his possession some time in the late eighties.
It's been sitting for 3 years, prior to that it was rarely driven during his ownership. It's rock solid besides a little rust in the floorpans and surface rust from sitting under a tarp.
The engine needs at least a valve adjustment and will probably need rebuilding or replacement but I have one I can drop in.
Just trying to get some opinions on what it's really worth. He's asking $900 but I really don't think it's worth that much.

Re: Here We Go Again...
Thanks for the input guys!
One more ?
The sliding rear glass. I'm assuming it's aftermarket? I've never seen anything like it on a sweptline that I can remember.
Any gurus know anything about it?

Hell yea, $500.00-$700.00 for a short box. Shorty's are hard to come by in any shape!

Re: Here We Go Again...
Aftermarket only I believe. Wide rear glass I would think is harder to find the older they get based on it not being standard.

Re: Here We Go Again...
If that box and rear stock light duty bumper are in decent condition, they're
practically worth the asking price on their own.
If they're at $900 and
you show up with $750 [with another $150 just in case], you might really
come out great on it. Heck!.... That truck doesn't even need paint! Just
buff it up and drive!

Re: Here We Go Again...
Ive never seen a 64 with the big back window. i thought they started the big window in 67? I might be wrong but that might have been modified or have a different cab on it.

Right on!

Re: Here We Go Again...
Large rear windows were an option from '61 through '67 and then madeRAYMAN wrote:Ive never seen a 64 with the big back window. i thought they started the big window in 67? I might be wrong but that might have been modified or have a different cab on it.

Re: Here We Go Again...
Bottom line: get it if you can afford it. Paint cleans up very well sometimes. A coat of wax went a LONG way on mine.
