Need Help Identifying my Paint Color

Post by archlab »

1969 D100
It 's that 'Forest Service Green' color. ANyone have a color code, or better yet some paint chips to share? For some reason I can't seem to find this on the paint chips that I'm finding on-line.

Here's a picture as well:Image

Thanks

I've got factory color codes and color chips for 1964 - 1971. The chart that I have doesn't show " Forest Service Green " as a color. Check on the firewall, drivers side, there could be a tag referencing the color code. I know the color, as I had an x-forest service 1972 D-200. It may be called "Turf Green" or "Medium Green". I could run some color copies of the charts if needed. I used these charts to get new paint manufacture reference when I repainted my '70 W - 200.

tHANKS gUYS,
My 'F/S Green' description was the best way to describe this color - it seems to have worked. Anyway, I think it's probably 'Medium Green'
(since it's a 1969 model) from the chart that 68shorty posted.

ANyway, I may go with that & get some paint mixed - but I am considering going with a 'non-auto paint' vendor. Automotive paint is ridiculously expensive & I'm not convinced that it's any better than an industrial paint. But, I'm open-minded.

Right! I remember his truck & couldn't find the post. He also had some real nice seats, too.
