something completely different..... :thinking
John
John, it is a Chinese made semi-auto only version. Mine was made by Polytech. They are also known as the M305, and more commonly made by Norinco. They actually still have the groove in them where the selector would be. You can purchase fake selectors for them.

Changes to the Canadian Firearms Program

On April 5, 2012, Bill C-19, Ending the Long-Gun Registry Act, came into effect. The key changes are as follows:
•Removal of the requirement to register non-restricted firearms
•Destruction of the existing non-restricted firearms registration records
•Allowing the transferor of a non-restricted firearm to obtain confirmation of a transferee’s firearms acquisition licence prior to the transfer being finalized

Until further notice, due to a Court Order issued by the Quebec Superior Court, residents of Quebec are still required to register non-restricted firearms with the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program.

It is important to note that the new law does not change the requirement for all individuals to hold a licence in order to possess a firearm. The licensing, safety training and safe storage requirements for anyone who uses or owns a firearm continue to be in force.
The legislation also does not impact registration requirements for restricted or prohibited firearms.

You can buy Norinco and other Chinese made firearms stateside. Every wannabe gangbanger thug in Memphis has one... Buy them here for $200, haul them to Texas and get $5000 each from the cartels.

Marlin Glenfield .22LR for squirrels, .30/30 Canadian Centennial model octagon barrel Winchester for fun. The Winchester is a piece of crap, sights fell apart and the butt stock is delaminating. Really cheap walnut, no figure and loose grain.

Most fun is my war carried CZ M24 .380 that was picked up on the battlefield during WW2. Crusty but if it feeds a round it is spot on accurate. Needs a new mainspring.

Personal favorite is a double barrel caplock 16g muzzleloading scatter gun from the late 1860s or early 1870s. Total junk, way too far gone to shoot, it would blow up. Cracked/rotten stock, engraving worn off, one hammer stuck back, percussion nipples worn down to nubs, no ram rod...

Almost as beat as my 1873 .44WCF Colt knock off (Mexican made, 3 digit serial number) which has a sloped muzzle and a cracked frame.

I like obsolete.
