Detroit 5380 series end yoke
Detroit 5380 series end yoke
I have a 68 W200 with the Np201 t-case and the 5380 series u-joints the input yoke on the t case has a piece that has been cracked off where the u-joint sits. I discovered this the other day when I changed the u-joints. My question is are these yoke still available?

I just dropped my drive shafts off at a reputable local shop, Marietta Clutch and Joint. I laid them on the floor of the shop and 2 guys came up to take a look. One said, "Are these out of a ton and a half Dodge?" I said a 3/4 ton Dodge. At that point he began rattling off some numbers, and "5380" was one of them. So, I'm guessing that you can still get them. Mine were from my '67. Mike

I know that the u joints themselves are still available. I got the from my local napa - Presicion brand part# 304. and i know spicer makes them as well. What I am asking is that are the yokes themselves still available - the part that is attached to the transfer case itself.

Ok thats great and all but none of which answers my question.

Have you asked this in the 4x4 Section of this forum? Some folks68PW200 wrote:Ok thats great and all but none of which answers my question.
who primarily read that section might help you. Have you been on
http://www.pirate4x4.com yet? Someone there might help. Try going to
http://www.powerwagonadvertiser.com and asking there as well. It might
possibly be something you'll have to pick up from a local boneyard.
I'm not sure if http://www.fleetpride.com could help or not.... but might be
worth a try.

Why don't you ask the places mentioned? At 6 States that IS their job.
Re: Detroit 5380 series end yoke
Ok that i will look into in the 4x4 section. I have been looking at pw advertiser as well. Thanks for the advice. I'll try 6 states as well but I'm in western pennsylvania and would like to deal with someone local if possible. Thanks again.
