1971 D-100 Adventurer

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post a couple pictures of the latest Sweptline to join the family.

It is a '71 Adventurer SE, 383 automatic. 3.55 rear end with factory air. The condenser is missing and I am pretty sure the rad support and left front fender are not original to the truck. Aside from that, I am excited to get it home. IT RUNS!

The interior is in fantastic shape. The seat fabric has a couple of rips in it, but everything else is great. I haven't seen an Adventurer interior before this one, so I am really happy to have this one.

Here is the 383 with the factory air equipment. The truck has a slant six radiator in it. The outlet on the rad is on the wrong side, so someone made a really long pipe to connect it. I am going to have a new condenser made for the truck, and will get a proper big block radiator.

I will post more pictures. I plan to bring the truck home in a couple weeks, once I get the title cleared at the border. It is currently in Helena, Montana. I got my '67 D-100 from another friend there, so Helena has been very good to me.

Very nice! Looks alot like my 70 (DID). On that water pump, they made one waterpump housing that has a lower hose on the other side. I THINK it was a later 70's truck or motorhome that it came in. I'm sure a more knowledgeable member will correct that if I'm mistaken.

Sadly, the plaque from the tail gate is missing. The clips are there. I don't know what chance I would have to find another one.

Here is a shot of the tail gate, sans panel. I will look for one, but am not too upset about it. I am happy to have the truck.

If you look to the left of the picture, you can see the shortbed that came with the truck. The friend I got the truck from got it with the intention of making a shortbed out of it, but I will leave it as is and use the shortbed on another project.

Here is the shortbed that came with the truck. I want to use it on a crew cab D-200 2 wheel drive I hope to buy soon.

I'm not a huge fan of the woodgrain, but I do like the trim around it. I'm sure it will look alot better with some new woodgrain in there.

Well, I can safely say that I have never gone shopping for woodgrain decals before. There is a first time for everything, I guess! :)

Nice truck! I have an SE tailgate applique for it. Need any other SE trim? I think I have some of that as well.
