when i get the volare clip done on my 61 and get the 360 all bolted in, do i use car or truck headers ???...i know it sounds like a dumb question, but.............

That is a good question. I tried car headers on my stock 68 and they didnt sweep down low enough to clear the tranny cross member. I can only imagine this being true with a front clip change. But I'm sure people who've actually done this will chime in.

I've got a 62 Fargo that I've put a Volare clip on. I have a 360 with headers on it. I'm not 100% sure but I believe they are car headers. The collectors were cut off and I tied the exhaust pipe directly to the headers. I'm not sure if I ran over or under the crossmember....sorry. The truck is stored at my Parent's place and I won't be down there for a bit to have a look. I do remember having to disconnect the one tierod to run it through the one header tube.
I hope this helps some, when I go to see my Parents I'll try remember to have a look.

thanks for all the info.........i ordered a set for a volare/aspen, they should work fine.......i made a trans crossmember out of inch and a half tube and made a bend on each side for the exhaust..came out pretty slick.
