custom crew cab???

Post by 440SCOUT »

i have a 70 crew cab and one of my parts trucks is a 67 custom cab. it has the chrome drip rail mouldings that are in 4 pieces.. it looks like the moulding across the windshield will work and the rear would just mount over the rear doors.. i guess i would need the little piece that goes over the front doors along with 2 little coupler pieces to make a set for mine... so what i am asking is did they ever make a custom cab option for the crew cab and if so does anyone have the pieces i need or know where i can get them...
thanks

I've always heard that the stainless driprail trim wasn't available on Crew's but I have seen a pic here on this forum with a Crew with the stainless on it. I don't know if it was factory or not. I also saw a red 61 crewcab Sweptline with it at the Charlotte auto show a few years back. The one at the Charlotte show had the narrow stainless trim at the accent line also.

Doesn't Wil [aka "BlueFury"] have stainless gutter trim on his Crew Cab?

According to a 69 Dodge truck catalog, the bright drip rail trim wasn't available on crew cabs. It doesn't look like Will's truck has the bright drip rail trim but it does have the side trim which also wasn't available on crew cabs either. I'm sure I've seen a crew cab with the bright drip rail trim but it could have been installed at a later time.

What about that CSS crew that popped up a while back? Did it have the drip rails?
