Scarebird disc brake conversion.
I am wanting to put disk brakes on my 71 drum brake truck. I have looked at several post about the scarebird brakes, I guess I am dumb but I only see brkts from scarebird!!!!! Where does a guy get the rotors, calipers and etc. Thanks
Re: Scarebird disc brake conversion.
Scarebird also sell the machined hubs. It's advisable to buy new rotors, rebuilt calipers and new hoses locally. NAPA, A-zone, Advanced, RockAuto; whichever you have bet luck with. At work now; parts list is on my home computer. Maybe someone else can access that info, or I'll try to post again later. Hope this helps.

Go to the tech section and look at the build thread for scarebird...it's on a town wagon but same set up for d100. Scarebird gives you a complete parts list when you buy the brackets.

Re: Scarebird disc brake conversion.
Scarebird sent me the parts list. It looks like I will be getting a set of their brkts and putting it together.
Re: Scarebird disc brake conversion.
I did the swap using thier list and bought all the hard parts online from rockauto.com and it cost me $178 in parts plus shipping, the studs i bought at a local hi perf store and they were 30$.Plus the scarebird brackets.

My only comment is if you have a 3/4 ton the stock wheels will not work, I tried both the 72+ and the original 16" split rings.
