Shop cleaning

Post by Petroguyak »

So with the onset of winter here in the great white north I decided to clean the shop out in anticipation of long hours hiding from the cold and working on projects. I am not sure how I let the shop get this out of hand but the place is in shambles right now. I have ripped all the tools out of the boxes and off the shelves so that everything can be put back in its proper place. I had to spend most of the day getting the heat working today as I find 30 degrees non conducive to my work ethic. I hope to get the place back together and ready for work in the next couple of days.

Every year I keep hoping that global warming will change that. I was going to make a T-shirt that said something along the lines of " Alaskans for global warming now" to help support my cause.

Ya, for sure! I was at my cabin on the Kenai Aug 11 and the low temp was 35 that night! Thot maybe I was in the wrong hemisphere!

I started my shop clean out earlier this week. Man, there was some deep dust on a few of the shelves and parts that hadn't seen the light of day in about 6 years!
What do you use to heat your shop?

Wood gasification boiler, heats both the shop and the house through a utilidor. The house boiler can also back feed to heat the shop if I am not burning wood.
