THE LION DOESN'T SLEEP

Post by MountainMoparRobin »

We're now hittin the warm temperatures, the Rods are startin to cruise, the sun is melting the snow completly, and I couldn't handle the piece and quiet in the neighbor hood   The 440 got a much deserved rest this winter, and I could no longer just let it set.
got the keys and walked over to the truck, I could almost hear it say "About time, lets find something and spank it" then in my mind I reply "Lets do it!" turned on the key electric fuel pum springs to action, purring as it pumps premium gas to the carb, 10 seconds later I turn the key to activate the starter, 2 turns and the 440 springs to life, the glas packs rumble with excitment of waking the neighbor hood, "THE LION HAS AWAKEN" "Bring out your chitty's, fords, riceburners and lets spank that bootey!" After the temp gauge shows 100 degrees I check the response revving to 5000 RPMs listening to the glass packs annoucing "THE 440 IS READY" The people outside in the neighbor hood (new neighbors) look to see "What is the rumbling coming from?" I pull it out on the street in 1st gear and give it a shot of premium gas and the tires spin in the gravel layed down for climbing the hill when the snow was down, we snake tail, and I let off the gas, now their is some young guns workin on a Honda that stoped work to check out the 440 is ALIVE (they seen it sittin when driving by the house) they give me :Thumbsup as I drive by, then stop at the stop sign and the pavement is clean here so as I complet the turn I punch the 440 and it responds by smokin the tires, after I've torched the tires I back off and I can see the young guns behind me responding with excitement from watching OLD SCHOOL MUSCLE flexing. OOOOHHHH it felt good just gotta love a BIG BLOCK DODGE :dance :dance :clap :clap

We're still buried under a mountain of snow here. Out on the flats it's almost up to my waist everywhere. There is a 80+% chance of another spring flood around here. Dave

60+ degrees yesterday, I BBQ T Bone steaks last night, I'm workin on buying another truck, I'm going out today to get some pictures with the 440 at the 2010 Cruise site, Wideblock I told Mopar Norm he could drive one of my trucks for the cruise, I may have 3+ trucks, so I'll keep you updated, I know of 1 household that has 11 trucks and may need to get more drivers so they have more trucks at the Cruise also :Thumbsup Yellow 71 has a 69 383/727 Short Wheel Base, Power Steering, Power Brake truck along with his Show winning Yellow 71 (and he has another one stashed) So we have more trucks than drivers :pale
