First trip

This is the first trailer hauling trip . Climbed from 800 feet to about 7500 camped for three days. Truck did well except got very hot.

A awsome looking set!! makes me wish mine was ready.....and I still had my little camper.... Very nice and I like that color, too!!

Not yet, but I did find the altitude messed up the fuel air mixture. I had to reduce the fuel settings because it would not start easily at altitude.
Last Sunday on the return home ran normal heat, of course come down the mountain, but on the flat stated to increase till I got it home, probably running too lean even though I did stop and richened it up about 1/2 turn on the screw. Those adjustments are mainly for idle, so not sure about the main and other things that contribute to heat.
The next item to check will be the thermostat.
I asked then question about cap pressure and thermostat degree used on stock 318s. See Engine/driveline section

Like a dummy I didn't take too many pictures of my rig,but here are a few of other peoples trailers.
The first pic of mine (attached} see the COE on right? That is a 1938 REO with one ton Chevy running gear. Very nice I got to ride around the camp grounds in it for about an hour, what an attention getter that was :dance
