Reminder, only 2 weeks until the rally. hope to see many of you here.
Pulled Pork??? you must be from east of the Mississippi River. Pulled Pork is the BBQ of choice over there, but up here, it is sliced brisket!!!

Really, anywhere but Texas it seems like pork is number one. Texas is one of the few states where brisket is bar-b-qued. One year we drove to south carolina, and once we got out of texas you could really tell, every bbq stand and restaraunt had a picture of a big fat pig on it. We ate at one, and there sauce was so nasty! It was vinigar based! yuk!

My wife is a native of South Carolina. When we go visit her family there, her brother always wants us to go eat at his favorite BBQ rest. BBQ pork is the thing there, and, it is pretty good, if you skip the BBQ sauce. They have that nasty vinigar based sauce. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but, he needs to come out here to Texas and see how real BBQ sauce is made.

Can you feel it guys, it's getting closer...

I'm pretty excited about next weekend! I've been pretty bummed about missing all the Spring and Summer rally's this year... Just couldn't make the trips out of state or in-state for that matter. Just too much job confusion in the house hold this go-round.....

Anyway, see you guys next weekend!

Jeff don't forget, if you need anything, just give me a call.

Ok, just one more week till the rally. Last night I got both of my parts trucks hauled in to my lot from where I had them stored. The old 68 runs, but I did not have time to rig up a fuel can again. The 69 Adventurer started right up and I drove it onto the trailer. That 383 sounds great. I wish I had a use for it.
By the way. the 69, D100 Adventurer is available to pick parts from. The truck is for sale, as a whole, minus the dash cluster and bucket seats.Bring tools Body, trim, interior, engine, trans., power steering parts. All prices NEGOTIABLE.

parts list

Post by 66patrick »

Here's a partial list of parts I plan to bring with to Denton to sell or trade:

1) '67 dash cluster, dash trim plate, "Camper Special" emblem, small back glass, upper door frames x2, dealer rear bumper (pictured in another post), used '67 t/s lenses, other '67 parts.

2) '69 - '71 air conditioning parts, including dash, vents, a/c controls, air box under the dash, condensor & most of the a/c plumbing...about 90% of what's needed for an air conditioning conversion.

3) One set of 3/4-ton 8-lug factory steel wheels (NOT split-rim!) with the later aluminum 3/4-ton "cop" caps.

4) '69 - '71 front bumper brackets

5) '70 - '71 steel grill in superb condition, no dings or rust, with grille inserts and t/s assemblies. Paint to suit, currently black.

6) '70 - '71 cop caps x4 (with the red ring in the middle, painted steel, NOT the bright chrome-style caps).

7) C-hevy SB M/T aluminum finned valve covers and F-ord Mototsports BB chrome valve covers (new)

TRADE ANY of the above in part or full for the following:

-Pair of 15" '71 Dodge truck wheelcovers.
-'67 or '71 factory chrome or painted rear bumper.
-'69 - '71 chrome front bumper.
-'69 - '71 cab (must be damn near perfect!).
-Aluminum BB or SB Mopar valve covers (M/T, DC/MP, Holley, w/baffles).
-One pair/one set of American Torque-Thrust "D" wheels, 15x6, 15x7, 15x8 with 5x4-1/2" bolt pattern.
-383/440 pulleys and brackets (crank-waterpump, and alt brackets - NO air or p/s).

I do not honestly know what it is worth. I know they are not that easy to find, but I want to be reasonable. Is $450.00 too much? You tell me what it is worth to you. I might be way off.
Shoot me an offer, and we can discuss it. I guess price would vary depending on if I pull it off, or if you come and pull it off. Either way, what do you think. I am sure you know the fair market value better than I do, as I have only seen one other PS system offered for sale, and I thought the guy was asking way too much.
This PS system does work, as I have driven the truck.
However, one or more of the hoses are leaking bad and will need replaced.

A reminder on the parts for sale I have listed above, plus the '71 D100 shortbed for sale, too. It'll all be in Denton, so bring your cash!

Hello everyone,
I have been off the board for a while and have come back to visit. I seems like at a good time. I am in the transition of moving to Corpus Christi. I am currently in Midland TX visiting family. I will try my hardest to make it to Denton an meet some of you. I am comming from Wyoming. I have driven my 65 all the way pulling my motorcycle and have not had any problems. 16 hours of driving so far. I have another 8 to get to Corpus. Wish me luck. If all goes good I will see you in Denton.

Hey Guys
First off I would like to thank Clint for coming out to Billy Bobs with the info on ya'lls git2gether.
As it turns out I will not be able to make it this time and it really SUCKS, since I live just a few miles up the road. But I have to :banghead work this Saturday 8 to 5. I did put a reminder on our Message board in hopes we will have some members show that are able to make it. It seems as though alot of ya'll are coming from aways away. Is there any plans for after the git2gether or a cruise or hitting any car shows in the area? If so I would like to meet up and meet some of ya'll while yer visitn' the area.
The weather is going to be just great for yer event and I hope you have a great turnout.
If nayone is cruising past Lewisville on I-35E stop in and say Hi at Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge Parts Dept.
Have a great time!
