Very cool! :Thumbsup I love how the wagons look when they're restored. Does that 'Rollins' pieplate belong to anyone here on the site? :thinking

That looks like Hemidarts old truck. I don't think he hangs out here since he sold it.

It is a very nice looking truck too, I have beaters I will never sell, I would never even think of selling this truck if I owned it.

The Mid Orange truck 67 with the little 61 blue Valiant in the back of the photo is mine. I had just bought it that day! I took it home to London Ontario Canada later in the weekend. I think it's cool that I found pictures of it on our website. I love that truck!!!!

The whole story of how I got my truck. (the truth and nothing but the truth, I swear on my dodge truck)
First thing I do when I get to the Nat's is check the car corral. Sitting way in the back among all these cuda's and such was this 67 d100. The paint was a faded orange but it looked like everything was intact. I couldn't find the owner but out of curiosity I popped the hood and low and behold there sat an origonal 383. :clap with only 58000 miles on it. It was at that point I HAD to find the owner and there was no phone number on this thing. I waited and waited. Lots of other people came over to look at what I had already decided was my truck and a cold sweat was forming :pale I didn't want to loose this thing to a higher bidder and I stil had no idea how much he wanted for it.
Finally the owner shows up. Turns out he had just bought the truck on the first day of the Nat's and didn't really want to part with it. He hadn't even driven it yet!! Well I convinced him he really didn't need it (ofcourse I didn't either) but I still got it. After a test drive down the back roads (wahooo!!!)the truck wouldn't idle down and it was getting hot as I drove it out of the field. I sure did't want to pepper anyone elses ride. Out on the back country roads I let it go and holly cow was I all smiles! It was my truck!! I didn't know if it would even make the trip back home to Canada. I was trying to ignore the sour feeling I got in my stomach when I thought about taking it across the boarder (cause we've all heard those stories) I wanted this truck and nothing was going to stop me.
In the group of folks that came down with us there was a mechanic in the bunch so I was pretty confidant it would make the trip home. I got back to the owner and offered him $500 more than he paid for it. Luckily he had been to the swap meet and found some stuff he wanted more than the 67 so he sold it too me.
The picture of the truck you took has my 61 Valiant in the background. The front turn indicator lense is missing because it was cracked andI had just taken it off and headed to the swap meet to search for another one. Got one for $2. COOL!
Well to make a very long story as short as I can, she made it home without any trouble! Not even at the boarder. I took her across at the ferry in Marine City.
I can't afford a new paint job yet but I did polish her up and the faded orange turned to bright orange and she looks like a well cared for old work truck. Someday she might be a restored show baby but for now I just wanna drive her. The only thing she needs is a new cab floor, the rest of the truck is solid. There are a few small things like new upolstry and her radio doesn't work (speaker too) but those things will come in time. I'll find other original parts over the years and have "The Pumpkin" back to as close to new as I can.
So there you have it! The truth and nothing but the truth.
Yep I'm Dodge crazy.
