pre-65 custom emblem location/meaurement
pre-65 custom emblem location/meaurement
I'd like to install a pair of pre-65 custom emblems on my doors. Anyone have 'close' measurements of where these are located?

Just below the wing windows.

Ha yes. I guess I have enough pics I've rounded up that I could take a picture of my truck and measure it up by comparing pictures. I was hoping to find a body repair service manual that would show locations of things like mirror holes, etc. The Germans were great in their publishing of cad-like drawings to ensure that body panels, frames, ornaments were located in the correct location. Maybe the location of the trim was really up to the guy building the truck, but I'd have to assume that somewhere it was documented.

Time flies. I hope everyone is having a good 2022 so far. Thanks for the wheel Terry.
I helped someone today with the radio hole measurement and service documents, but it is interesting there isn't a document specifying exact placement of the emblems nor radio (other than to say to follow the contour of the dash). Not complaining... just that it seems unusual to me that if they had to service the door, they wouldn't tell the tech how to put the emblem back in the right spot.
So thankful I went on a buying binge on these css pieces that were missing when I did. I haven't seen any come up for sale recently. Although costly at least that's something I don't have to worry about finding.
