Yeah, I'm new here, and I am in need of help BAD. First mopar I have ever owned: 1968 W100 short bed, 318, NP-435 4 speed trans with granny low.
The thing I cannot find: a rear mainshaft seal for the trans (just worn out)
I have searched the interweb until I a blue in the face. I have called different trans companies and no one has the correct trans seal and I cannot find replacement springs anywhere.

Re: Rocker arm shaft springs and trans seal questions
None of the LA318 motors I've had had any springs on the rocker shafts. None.

Check here for the tranny seal....critman wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 10:51 amYeah, I'm new here, and I am in need of help BAD. First mopar I have ever owned: 1968 W100 short bed, 318, NP-435 4 speed trans with granny low.
2 things I cannot find:
the springs that separate the rockers on the rocker shaft (couple are broken)
a rear mainshaft seal for the trans (just worn out)
I have searched the interweb until I a blue in the face. I have called different trans companies and no one has the correct trans seal and I cannot find replacement springs anywhere.
Although not a sweptline, I love this truck so much I bought another before even finishing the first and am in need of some of the same parts for it:
1956 C3-B8-116 with the 270 poly engine. Got some broken rocker arm separator springs also.
Any and all help is appreciated!

Unless your 318 is a Poly, there were no shaft springs on LA Series 318 engines.

Re: Rocker arm shaft springs and trans seal questions
Ok, sorry about that guys. I only had 1 cup of coffee before posting. My 318 is fine, it's the poly 270 that has the broken springs. The W100 has the bad seal. Oh man, getting old is tough. Thanks for all the replies.

Re: Rocker arm shaft springs and trans seal questions
If its a poly 318, I have springs available from parts engines.
