Fuel sending unit
Hello my name is Chris and this is my first post. I just bought a 1970 D100 and I need a fuel sending unit. I know this topic has been touched on before but I needed some clarity. Will the sending unit from decade work for my truck? It says the fuel line is opposite than the original but it will work, has anyone bought this? Are there any better alternatives out there?

I think so. Let me check. And no the aftermarket senders will not work in a 70-71 tank.

Re: Fuel sending unit
I can vouch for what Txas2step said - "best if you source an original and correct unit for your truck." I originally sourced an aftermarket unit for my 1967 D100. It lasted for all of 4 months. Quality of materials and construction was no match vs original unit. Although much more expensive, I finally relented and sourced a NOS unit. It has been working for well over a year since installed.
