Does anyone know if the dash, grill and hood from the 65-67 D100 series will fit in a 71 d200?
I like the instrument cluster and the bug eye look of that series truck. The hood looks a little different shape at the front too.
Thanks!

U can change the grill if u use the matching yr hood. The dash will NOT fit!
The grill is known as the pie plate grill. Bugeyes are on Sprites.

I thought you could use the earlier dash, but you have to have the filler pieces that were in the earlier trucks? I could be wrong though.

That's not a "filler" piece. It is an integral component of the cab, which is all spotwelded together. It is part of the window frame as well as the dash support. The earlier pedal hanger assembly is also different and the earlier dash appears to interfere with the later assembly. If you are into removing the windshield, cutting out a bunch of spotwelds on your and a donor cab, then spotwelding the new piece in, reinstalling the windshield, sealing everything, repainting where the welding cooked the paint and dealing with the pedal hanger....maybe it can be done.
