Re: 70 64 front
Does anyone have an idea of what paint color this is? I was thinking of trying to paint the primered door and hood to match the rest of the truck.

If you have a good paint shop they can get it pretty close. Having the right paint code will get them close then they can add color to it to make up for the years of fading. I have an awesome guy here locally. It took him about half an hour to match my door. He takes pride in getting it as close as he can..

Thanks for the idea. I may give that a try. From looking around I think that it may have been burnt orange originally.

Re: 70 64 front
I cleaned mine up and buffed out the paint before I went down there. I think that helps with the color match..

your ride looks sweet. Nice Valiant also. I traded a 63 Valiant wagon for my Sweptline.

Cool truck. I like that it has the original style of door mirror, take care of that as they are kind of rare.

Re: 70 64 front
This is good to know thanks for the info. I was curious if you guys thought if my truck has been lowered in the front? I know the back has 3 inch lower shackles but the front looks lower than stock to me also. I want to get it a little lower and was thinking of a sids axle, but I don't want to buy one if it already has one. Any ideas on how to check this?

Re: 70 64 front
It does look lowered, question is are you happy with the ride or do you want it lower yet?

Re: 70 64 front
I would guess it just has a leaf or two pulled out of the front.

Re: 70 64 front
You could measure the drop of the axle and compare it to a stock one. I know there is some info here as to how much a Sid's axle is dropped.
