Shop Truck
Has anybody ever seen a d100 made into a "shop truck" or built one them selves? If so what axles were used. Would crown vic axles work underneath a d100?

I might be behind the times here....66dodged100 wrote:Has anybody ever seen a d100 made into a "shop truck" or built one them selves? If so what axles were used. Would crown vic axles work underneath a d100?
Does a "shop truck" have to have some type of altered suspension?

Is a "shop truck" something that just kinda hangs out around a repair shop for
parts runs, etc. and has a logo painted on it somewhere?
I guess I've built a shop truck in a way.... I cobbled together a '65 D100 that
has a good deal of its original [beat] paint on it. I use it mainly to run around
town to collect up "parts"..... Mine has a rebuilt original front axle though.....

Shop truck can be anything you want. I like the Diamond Reo shop truck on Vegas Rat Rods Show.

I guess I'm building a shop truck in a sort of way. Throwing this 71 together to be a parts runner while building my 72
Motor and trans going in, everything getting hooked up, fixing only what's wrong. No paint work, nothing. Taking off the 1000 layers of paint to reveal the original patina, but that's it. Interior is getting thoroughly cleaned, maybe the seat recovered. Otherwise it'll get the blanket treatment haha
