Thanks for all of the kind words gents.
That sounds good Eric. We are actually going to replace a Seabee unit in the Kandahar area.flyinbrick68 wrote:Doug If Your In Afg Drop Me A Line Im A Seabee Serving Here In Op Enduring Freedom Also Itd Be Nice To Chat W A Friendly Face W Similar Interests. Keep Safe Where Ever They Send You.

Re: Farewell Friends!
So which SeaBees did you guys relieve? I was in NMCB 133, seems like a century ago but was actually in the mid 1990s.
Re: Farewell Friends!
Hi Doug,
All is well here on the site. There's been a steady flow of new members lately.
As for myself.... I've spent the year just driving my trucks when I can. Things have
been real busy at work and home and I've set aside [again
] my projects
currently in process which are finishing off a '68 D100 Utiline and converting a '61 D200
to a W200. The good news is that I'm flush with parts.
Stay Safe Over There!

Yo Doug, glad to see you safely checking on! All is well here. I've been enjoying the truck and car in our new house. Finally got a nice 2+ car garage with attached shop. Kids have a yard to play in finally.
Stay safe and get home to that beautiful family ASAP!

Re: Farewell Friends!
If it had been my era, you guys would have come into seriously hostile territory. We were told in no uncertain terms that 133 was no longer welcome in Rota Spain...
The party capital of the Atlantic coast line of Spain, and we partied so hard we got thrown out of the country. I was with the BAD version of 133, the ones sent to Bosnia to pull the Army and Red Horse (Chair Force wannabe's) out of the mud. I got to stay in Rota partying, I was, um... not allowed live ammo... bit of a trouble maker.
