My 1971 getting close...
I never thought i could spend this much time and money making something so ugly. I'm going to letter the doors for my shop but otherwise this is as good as it's gonna get!

Do NOT Maaco or rattle can that truck!
There are some that need it, but this isn't one of them.

Its a survivor. I think the paint looks cool too!
Re: My 1971 getting close...
I agree. That's some great "weathering" on the paint. Keep itgearjammer wrote:

Re: My 1971 getting close...
I'm just not big on the whole "patina" thing, I guess. Any vehicle looks a LOT better in one color, if nothing else. "Patina" is just another word for "needs paint"!!
Nice truck you have there. The interior and the engine compartment make it pop! But, I'd paint the upper half of the truck, were it mine. If you had old chromies or a set of painted wheels on it, I'd probably leave it as-is. But with the new wheels, your truck just screams for paint. My opinion, of course.

I LOVE Patina...[and I like survivor stuff, and restored as well, but I'm drawn to a patina rod done right.]
Different strokes for sure . It's all good, some folks like B5 blue and others F3 green...
But 'new' wheels ?? Those American 200S wheels were made in 1970! They are older than the truck!

Beautiful truck and I am jealous, but I agree with you 100%
