Reverse Lights! An alternative to NOS/Reproduction lenses!
So my reverse light lenses are completely shot, and one of the sockets has a short in it.
I was looking for options, including $40 reproduction lenses on ebay and a "will fit" socket to install to make it work.
I found this auction on ebay for a 3 inch diameter marine application transom light. I think it would look really cool on the truck. I am going to order a pair and see if I can make them work. $22 shipped for two of them is a whole lot cheaper than $40 just for the lenses, I know it isn't original, but... I think it will be a cool look... still 12 volts..

Edit: Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002U ... orumpet-20
Part number/Model Number is 05391
SEACHOICE products Transom light
will post pictures when/if I get them installed...

That light looks like a nice alternative reverse light. Post pics when you are done. They remind me of my back up lights on my 69 Road Runner, because they have that same type of chrome trim ring and all.

The new lights arrived! $21.04 shipped for two lights...
They fit like a glove! I just shoved them in the hole and the screws lined up perfectly.
I have not had time to wire them yet, but that will be soon enough.
I will post better pictures when I get them working...

I have yet to hook them up, I haven't had time to even consider it. My wife and I went out of town to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, so they are not yet wired.... soon though.. soon..

Nice idea. I turned mine into turn signals. Back up lights aren't required here.
