Re: 1970 Dodge Adventurer Sport

Interesting to note the "SPORT" emblem is the same on both of these red pickups pictured (sort of an outlined letter version).
The parts book lists this emblem, and it does not appear to cross with anything else. The more common version
used in '68 and '73-'76 cars and '78-80 Traildusters is not of the outlined-letter style, but a thinner-lettering -
search p/n 2963770 and one can see the difference.
Anyone know what the original coloring of the "SPORT" emblem for the '71 Adventurer was?
I cannot find a picture of an original.

My Sport is blue, and my emblems match those pictured exactly. I've got 3-bolt chrome mirrors, padded panels on the door bottoms that match the padded tops and have pockets, and a different seat than that shown on the e-bay piece (with the dealer installed clear vinyl cover still hog-ringed on it). My tailgate trim still looks as good as Walt's...

Never seen that wood grain on the dash before. Is that special to that model?

I've had a couple of plain Adventurer trucks that had the wood grain bezel.

I have a customer in Saudi Arabia that would pay some serious coin for that tailgate bezel.

For the record.... PwrWgnWalt please don't sell a single part off that truck. That is one VERY NICE original Adventurer Sport. Not many around for sure!!

I think in 1970 that the standard Adventurer had a woodgrain instrument cluster faceplate. In 1971 the Adventurer SE and Sport had woodgrain ICF but the Adventurer had a Silver one. The Custom had a Black one.

No worries! :salut This will be fixed up and treated with all the TLC it deserves...
Gonna have to get the 318 figured out first, then will start on the body and get it all cleaned up.

I see it's listed again, but this time without the "Sport" designation... (could it be he/she reads this forum?)
Still a cool lookin' ride!

Actually 318 4 speed.

Maroon paint with Tan interior.
This truck has the woodgrain dash bezel...Adventurer upper Door Panels, Pocket lower panels, and Headliner.
It has the Adventurer Tailgate applique...and dress chrome bumper.
But didn't have turn signals-Go Figure.

I see a Montana license plate... from Ravalli county, south of Missoula in far SW corner of state (Hamilton, Stevensville?) Nice "Sport" !

Curious - is yours a '70 or '71? D-200 ?
I've never seen hood-mounted t/s flashers except '69 and '70 Adventurers...

Yes...but I bought from some people in Hamilton, MT

It is a 1971, the only year for Adventurer Sport's, I believe.

After looking closely at the 1971 Sales Brochure...apparently 1971 Adventurers no longer came with "Bright-finish hood mounted turn indicators"

so that explains that.
