68 W200 Hood not flat.

Question,
My 68 Utiline W 200 hood does not seem to close down as far as it should, In back toward the windshild. I have trried to adjust but it still pops up a little.
3/8 inch or so. Does any one have any tricks or is this just the way they made them?

Welcome to the site Jerry. The "trick" to lowering
the rear of the hood is to place shims between the hood & hinge
on the forward hinge bolt.

Also, the six bolts (three on each side) that hold the hood hinges to the actually body of the truck, loosen all three and make sure the hinges are pushed down on the body as far as they can go and then tighten them back up......but usually after that is all done the forward hood bolt on the actual hood needs to be shimmed. If you have the hood all the way open it will be the "top" bolt on the hood-to-hinge mount
