My brother inlaws and I went to Columbia River for Chinook salmon. Fishing was really slow but we had a great trip.
I cought my first Stergon. It was almost 7 feet and took about 25 minutes to land at the boat, it is out of season so we gladdly let it go.
Guy holding salmon is my brother inlaw.
Picture of the dog is a friends boat/dog.

Love the truck! Do you have a build thread on here for it?jimmy wrote:My brother inlaws and I went to Columbia River for Chinook salmon. Fishing was really slow but we had a great trip.

this is most of my build, fee free to visit the site. On the right side of the site you'll find our family builds/drag racing and more of my build.
I don't have a build thread on the sweptline site.
I did alot to the truck not covered very well in the blog so if you have any questions please ask. I wasn't trying to hide anything I learned or did, I was just under the gun building and didn't always up date the blog.

Not only does that look like a good time, you got to use the swept for the adventure! Pretty cool.

Re: The fish we caught last weekend
The truck ran pretty good, pulls the trailer great. Brakes & steering are great. Rides alot nicer with a load.
The motor seamed to like 60mph. thats 2400rpm with 3.54 gears and 33" tall tires. Any faster and it was noticeably alot more gas pedal.
I'd like more power someday, a higher compression 440 would work real nice. The 440 I've got now is a low compression motor.

Re: The fish we caught last weekend
I am really itching to get my truck up and running, so I threw it back together with the 727 (balancing issues) but I hope one day to rebuild the engine with more compression, better cam, and of course rebalance to run a manual trans.

I'm with you, I'd love a Balanced 9.5 - 9.7:1 motor with a nice RV cam.
I like the power of a 10.1:1 motor, but a guy would need to run 92 octane I think. Especially while pulling a load.
