That was my initial thought as well. I wonder if ovals and bowties are standard on other kits from Scarebird?

Why would they take the time to do that in a kit that include Ford rotors and GM calipers? BTW I agree that you both are probably right, I just don't get the reasoning since the kit contains non Chrysler parts. -BD

IF that is meant to be a Pentastar, and I stress the word IF, it may be in order to identify the rather ambiguous looking plate steel brackets they bring into inventory. There are no part numbers on the plates nor is there any distinguishing characteristic that would identify these as chrysler specific pieces. Also, just to be clear, the kit does NOT include any GM or Ford parts. The instructions call for those parts but are not included in the Scarebird kit. There is a seperate purchase required.

Yes, that is a Pentastar shaped hole.

It's been a number of years since I had a set, but I would estimate the adapter plates to be about 3/16" - 1/4" thick.

Aspens never came with front drums. Government mandated front disks after 1-1-1976, and Aspens started in '76.

SomethinCrazy68, nice write up, and great pics, thanks! You mention switching out the rear end for an 8 3/4. What rear do you have now? Also, have you looked into what it takes to put disks on an 8 3/4?
