This truck is braking me!

Post by sweptlinemike »

I could use some help here, I need to replace the brake bars for the emergency brake. I found that new ones are not available. There are some universal ones to be had, but I would rather stick with the real deal. I am hoping that someone might have spares hanging around and feel inclined to help a brother out. I really need to get these brakes finished so I can move on to other things, and don't want to get bent over by paying a ridiculous price.

I guess that would be useful information, its a 68 D-100, I don't know the brake size off hand. I will have to make a trip to the garage to investigate. Funny how I have to make the truck stop before I can make it go.

A D100 may share brake components with the passenger cars of that era. :thinking Which may increase odds of finding parts.

68 D100 would be 11 inch brakes. I will check them for you.

It goes between the brake shoes. I assume it would be the same as 70.
