Re: RE-TORQUE HEADS?????
I know it's recommended with aluminum heads, but I'm not sure about cast iron... either way, metal is going to expand and contract with heat cycling and this could theoretically be a reason to check your head bolt torque.

Re: RE-TORQUE HEADS?????
Seems like I always heard to re-torque upon initial warm-up. Don't know about thereafter.
Couldn't hurt.

Factory didn't do it. What type of head gaskets? It is an easy job to do in a sweptline.

Re: RE-TORQUE HEADS?????
As long as you torque the heads in at least 2 steps (I always do 3 steps) you don't need to retorque the heads. Only the intake and exhaust manifold bolts need retorqued after initial breakin and the motor cools completely down.
