1964 D200 "Big Daddy"

Post by thembsnyder »

All,

New to the site. After months and months of looking I have finally found an affordable D200 Crew Cab. Hoping to get it cleaned up and some work on the engine 318... Looking forward to getting into it. Sitting in Montana right now, getting shipped to Tennessee soon.

Read this thread. http://sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12935 It was from before the previous owner of your truck even bought it.

This is turning out to be a rather interesting story. I have been looking for a Older Crew Cab for at least a year now and I came across this one totally by accident while searching craigslist. I live in Tennesse currently but I was born and raised in Montana. It turns out that the truck is 5 minutes from my hometown in Montana. Now I find it and post it online for all to see, and now I find it has already been here for a while.

Well it is mine now and I am looking forward to getting to know it.

Great news all, after dealing with the worst shipping company ever my truck is finally on the way to TN. It will be there on Thursday, but I will be another 5 weeks before I will see it, as I am working offshore and will not be home until then...dammit

My gawd, what a beautiful truck!

Mine, is... Rusty, green, paint peeling, and... Totaled right now. But you got yourself a beauty right there. :)

Mine's going to be my project truck. Going to take me quite a while to fix it... But really nice. Same year as mine too.

Wish you luck on getting it all spruced up!

You live in Tennesee? Are you going to be able to find parts for it? I might be able to help out... Maybe.

Yeah I live in TN. I have not looked for parts yet as I have not even sat in the trcuk yet and I am not sure where I am going to start with it. I am just going to enjoy it for a while before I start ripping into it. First off will most likely to get rid of the blocks and go with proper sping hangars for the lift. I will know more once I get back home in about a month and start looking at it.

Thanks

Ah... Okay. Well, the '64 D200 is a fun truck. I love it. Gonna be looking for parts myself. If there is anything you need, and I come across it, I'll give you a shout.

And your truck, is in a lot better condition than mine was when it was running.

You have a good catch. :)

This truck has been for sale a long time, I'm glad it's going to a good home.

I told everyone I know about it trying to get someone to buy.

Have fun with it and let us know how it comes along.

The last price I saw was pretty good. You must have done well on the Polar Bear!( as I've named it).

I was pretty happy with what I paid for the truck and the shipping to get it to TN. It should dropped off today. I am going to have the wife take pics of it on the trailer and coming off. As soon as I get them I will post some pics.

All,

Well the "The Dodge" finally made it to the house. Here are some pics of the truck on the trailer. I cannot wait to get home and see it in person.
