Reproduction Sweptline Parts
Re: Reproduction Sweptline Parts
I actually bought one of those $69.00 pedal about 4 years ago or so for VPW. It was a very well made part. That pedal is long gone though. I have a Mopar NOS one here ready to work with.
Right now the company I'm dealing with it getting kinda flaky on me... It's not looking good. I'll keep you guys posted..

Re: Reproduction Sweptline Parts
It loks like somebody went through the trouble of figuring out how to make a repro of this part already, and the problem was that it cost a lot. Do you think you will get a different answer? The original seems to be a rubber composite with nylon and steel parts in it, likely to be expensive in small quantities.
I have sometimes wondered if it would be a better idea to design a stamped steel replacement part, or some other design that would be more suitable I(ie cheaper) for low volume production?

Re: Reproduction Sweptline Parts
The front amber turn signal lights 70/71, I have an entire other market for them besides just the pickups. They were the same ones used on the C-series and Bighorns, if you could get them reproduced with the chrome housing, I know we would take a few sets, and I could probably sell a dozen + sets with just a few e-mails. One along went on ebay a few days ago for almost $150, getting scarce. Kyle
