I followed the instructions Hellbelly and I still can't get in
wideblock-I did a system restore and still this site is the only site I cannot get into
so I wonder what is going on, how many others are faced with the same problem?
its been 1 week now that I've been borrowing a labtop to login to the Forum
If you can log-in on another pc using your username/password then I'd say the issue lies within your computer. But if the clearing of cookies/browser history doesn't clear it up then it's beyond my very limited pc skills.
Maybe Obama waits to stimulate the economy by forcing you to get a new computer.
Internet explorer is the spawn of the devil. It is very unstable and leaches information about what sites you visit and for how long you have visited them. Also it is not as secure as you think about your identity when it comes to purchases. Using google analitics, Firefox is the most popular browser, followed by Apple's Safari, then it is either google chrome, or internet explorer. Firefox also has a lot of tweaks that increase its speed and security. It is also fully customizable, so you can change the look of the browser window. Also if you are a web developer then it has an app where you can turn on and off things in a web page, and view the HTML, PHP, CSS(not the truck), code that makes the site work and look the way it does.
Indeed Dodgely Dudes. This is so. Use Mozilla Firefox. Also avoid 'Virus' I mean 'Vista'. If you insist of giving your money to Billy, consider Microsoft 7. It is a very good OS. I personally am a Mac person. Although, I am not on one right now This is all only my own opinion.
i have to say i'm mostly a lurker here. i really enjoy this site. i have never noticed any problems like your suggesting. don't get all bent out of shape and rant. people might get fed up and argue back, then it just gets worse from there. it's called snowballing and i've seen it go on other sites until people left the site never to return. don't let that happen here
I'm not bent out of shape, doing good, happy to be on the board.
Hellbelly, I cleared all the cookies as directed and everything worked great until I turned the pc off. Now back to same log in problem. I'll clear them again and see what happens.
I had log in problems a few months back. I was using Internet Explorer. I switched to Mozilla Firefox and haven't had any problems. Don't know if it will solve your log-in problems.

Did you do a defrag??
My computer's getting long in the tooth and a bit full and it needs a defrag every day when I'm done, otherwise it's just a bear to work with.
