B engine header/crossmember

Ive searched and searched and read what seems like 100's of dead end posts.
My Question is this. I have a 69 D-100 utiline that was slant6 manual. and i swapped in a 400/727. i have headers, and on the passenger side, it exits close to the cross member. How has anybody routed there exhaust or is there a different header. [Picks please]I believe they are BlackJack headers. bought them in 1993 or 94 so i cant remember.
I'm using the 440 source engine mounts and the factory transmission cross member. [I'll post pics when i get home]

Mine go up and over the transmission mount, Fosh69 took his under it, but lookin at the trans mount you'll see a divet that looks like it was put there for that reason, so mine will never drag, they go up and over the mount

Patience my friend..... perhaps Fosh or Robin can search out their
header model numbers and get them to you. Sorry for your difficulties
with 100's of "dead end posts" and an inadequate "Search" feature....
Scott's site does what it can to bring many features to many folks
but it can't be "Everything to Everybody". Hang tight.... someone

I like the Ram Air you've added to your hood. I too have BlackJack headers but I have a small block so the application would be different.

The ram air is kinda cool, just trying to be different. i have to rebuild the box that attaches to the hood though.

Another thing, if you go with the 3" exhaust you almost have to go under the mount just like fosh69 did, and the H crossover, his truck sounds extremely good

Yeah im gonna stay with 2.5 as thats what my flowmasters are.

I have 1 7/8 tube Hooker b body headers on my 75 d100 with a 383 engine.On my frame I had to trim a few spots for clearance, I looked at my 70 & it looks like they would fit just fine.Has anyone tried it? It seems that all the headers out there for any dodge trucks are small tube for torque,I'm interested in HP!

I'm having the same problem with my headers, I bought a set of hooker competition headers off craigs list for 50 bucks, they were never used and are supposed to fit a "trail duster". looked like a good buy , however they run right into my cross member. I was going to just give up and use the stock exhaust, but now that I see I'm not the only one having this issue I just may put them bad boys back on, thanks for the inspiring post.

Out of curisosity I was wondering, this particular article is specifying "B" engines, is this a bigger problem on "RB" engines. I would think that with the raised block engines it would raise the header exit even more so that is would be a bigger problem. Does anybody know if I am right or wrong.

Some times the RB engine helps but most of the time it is just a pain!But most of my experince has been with "A body" cars!
