Gas Smell in my 68 W 200

Post by gearwrencher »

My Wife always says it smells like gas in my 68 W 200. She is right . Does any one know the Part Number or where to buy a new Fuel Tank Sender gasket? My tank is back of seat. Truck is all stock.
Thanks to all.

I got this one. Perfect fit and doesn't leak a drop even with that tank topped off.

when my truck started smelling like gas it was the rubber fuel hose that was bad, it had a small crack in it. I replaced all of the rubber fuel hoses and didn't have the smell any more.

The fuel sender gasket AND the rubber tank fill tube grommet (tube-to-tank) are the SAME as on a '66 - '67 B-body. Both are available new from several sources.
