Lubing up my speedo cable because it howles and found a resistor pluged into the back of my amp gauge just hanging there. I dont know where it bolts to (the resistor end) on the back of the inst. panel. The hot wire is plugged into the amp gauge.
If I dont run a amp gauge do I need it??? What is it for. If I do need it, where is it supposed to bolt on. The wire is pretty short and I cant figure out where it goes.

Re: is this needed??
Sounds like a capacitor to isolate electrical interference for the radio. The radio installation instructions I have show one attached to a post on the back of the AMP gauge.

I thought it was for radio interference but not for sure. Thanks!!!!!
