wont start.

left the radio and amp on all night and the truck wont start. 1968 383 d100. put cables on it, nothing. bypass solenoid, nothing. check volts 12.05. jump connections on starter, nothing. starter?

replaced battery, nope. checked solenoid, good. must be starter, one in shop. put it on in the morning.

If it won't crank when jumping connections at the starter, then it can only be starter or cables since you have determined battery to be good. Check cables first, then starter.

Bucky, pulled starter and bench tested, nothing, not used to starters just quitting.

It happens time to time..... And it may not have had anything to do with the battery being discharged from the radio.

Is it the old school heavy gear reduction type? May be a good time to upgrade to a hi-torq mini starter.

Based on the path of travel of the blood river, it appears someone was laying on their back, under the truck, when the starter fell and kissed them - OUCH!!!

just replaced my starter..turned over too slow. 85 bucks to rebuild it w/3 yr warrenty.
oh and OUCH !!!
got stiches in elbow from head bolts on a Bronco my co pay was also $35.00
oh but the fun of it all.. :joker
