Nut keepers

Changed the speedo cable yesterday, all went well, nice to know how fast I'm really traveling now.
But got a little problem with the square nut keepers ( don't know what else to call them) on the transmission tunnel cover.
The ears broke on 4 keepers " So today I go down to my trusty Napa shop and look through page after page of all different types and
configurations of these little wonders, even asked the Mopar expert there............. nothing. :banghead
Any ideas ?

For a second I thought this was an underwear thread.

You might be able to *#%^ some off of a vehicle at the salvage yard......Or ask an auto body/collision place that's been around for a long time (one that still knows how to work on metal body panels.).

if there is a fastenenal busness in your town they will have them. they carry almost any type of fastener. or you could try fastenal.com. Ozzie.

You might also try.....

I like Boon's idea. Every truck
I've worked on had at least three
or four of those kept nuts spin.
They're always the ones that
are hardest to get to..... :banghead
