Nut keepers

Changed the speedo cable yesterday, all went well, nice to know how fast I'm really traveling now.
But got a little problem with the square nut keepers ( don't know what else to call them) on the transmission tunnel cover.
The ears broke on 4 keepers " So today I go down to my trusty Napa shop and look through page after page of all different types and
configurations of these little wonders, even asked the Mopar expert there............. nothing.
Any ideas ?

For a second I thought this was an underwear thread.
You
might be able to *#%^ some off of a vehicle at the salvage yard......Or ask an auto body/collision place that's been around for a long time (one that still knows how to work on
metal body panels.).

I like Boon's idea. Every truck
I've worked on had at least three
or four of those kept nuts spin.
They're always the ones that
are hardest to get to.....
