can anyone tell me how to wire my cig lighter to be a push button ignition?

carefully! it is probably not possible to convert the cigarette lighter to a starter pushbutton. but you could place an aftermarket push button in its place.

Do you mean that you want to keep the lighter and use it or do you want to remove the lighter and put in a pushbutton like Matt said. You could actually use the lighter to start it but you would need a relay and some wire. Also, the lighter snaps in when you press it so you would need to prevent that. The lighter has one wire to it that is hot at all times. When you push the lighter in it just grounds the element. You could wire in a relay and run the ground side of the pick coil to the lighter, so that when you pressed in the lighter it provided a ground to the "B" side of the relay coil. You would wire the relay points to provide 12v to the small terminal on the starter. That's a quick rundown of how to do it, but why do you want to?
