no heat

Post by ramrod »

hi all,
i am working on a '67 A-100,318.it was over heating,so i had the radiator recored, new water pump and thermastat.it still over heated,,,,come to find out it had a reverse rotation flex fan on it.anyhow, now to the next problem,Im not getting hot water to the heater core.the control valve is open.infact, the heater hose to and from the heater core stays cold.
my book shows water flows from the manifold to the core,is that correct?
thanks in advance

you might want to double check the hoses, if nothing else reverse them and see if that works :study

Check for blockage, even w/valve open you could have crud build up to heater core and no flo.

thanks for the replies, apparently it was gunk build up,,,,,flush it out and the water started flowing.
now if i dont run into many more gremlins i might be able to start driving it.

I just noticed where you are at, I spent more time at the terminal in Salt Lake than I did in Denver this past year, I also spotted some sweptlines, one I15 around Ogden, I have the mile marker # if you would like to try and track it??? then more further south which I have pictures of some and locations of the others. :Thumbsup
