Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)
Negotiations didn't go so well. They paid me less than I wanted for the repairs, and then I ended up scrapping it due to city issues. But I've got another truck. Not a sweppy, but I'll get another one sometime.nebill49 wrote:Welcome and best of luck to you!!
My ex-wife was driving down the road when someone backed out right in front of her and did extensive damage to the front of our car. Well, the other person's insurance was just going to total out our car and pay us some low-ball amount. I went through the newspapers and collected several adds for similar cars with outrageous prices and presented them to the insurance company and told them if they were going to total out the car, they could just replace it with one of those from the ads. Well, what do you know, they changed their mind, and fixed the old car up! Hope your negotiations go at least as well!!
Yes. I'm out on my own too. And I'm just barely employed. Seems like things just get harder before they seem to get easier. And keyword being, "seem". Also, I just turned 19 a few weeks. ago. :P But yeah... It's been tough. But all you can do is push through.petethefly wrote:hey, im sorri to hear about your truck... my 69 D200 was my first car... havnt driven it yet.... it needs like 2 grand to get possibly put in my name... damn vehicle inspections. but i feel for you being 18 and not affording it... im 19 and on my own... its tough. but yea...
