Headers for a 63 D100

Post by 63swept »

Does anyone know what headers will work for a 63 D100 with a 273?

Hedman's website says those are for 67-71. What would make them different that wouldn't work on a '63? Has anyone used these for a '63?

Probably the fact that a 63 would have come with a Poly.

I'm going from the information above. It says a 273 Cu.In..
Demulsion has used these with his LA318 in his '68 D200.
The '63 D100 will have the same frame design. I'm assuming
the 273 will have the same exhaust ports as an LA318.

That is what I was thinking both Soopernaut and Hobcobble.

They didn't ever come with a 273. I suppose anything is possible but these are the engines that Dodge put in Sweptline era trucks: 170,198,225,318,361,383,413,426. The 361 seems to be only medium duty.

if its an auto, those headers will fit, manual has a different trans mount in the 68 to older that interferes
67 is the first year of la 318's

I believe the #79010 Hedmann headers pretty
much fit all pre-'69 D100/D200 trucks with
auto or manual trannys. If someone knows
anything to the contrary, please chime in.
