I have a question for all of the knowledgeable folks on this forum. My question is; as the title says, I have a 1970 W100 that came from the factory in a light green metallic. I’ve read that Dodge may have referred to it as light green iridescent? I’ve done a little searching online, haven’t been able to narrow down what the paint code is. I’d appreciate it if one of you fellas could tell me exactly what dodge named the color and a possible paint code. There is a OG member on here that has a truck that looks like it is painted a similar color, but it looks darker to me. Thank you in advance.

Does it, or anything close, appear here:

I hate trying to compare sample "chips".

Lt Green Poly? That means the color has a bit of "flake" in it which is the "Metallic" color. If the description does NOT say Poly then the color is solid and has no Metallic in it. Here is a color chart for the 1970 truck. The Chev. section that was above the Dodge, I cut off for here to make the Dodge part bigger. So the Light Green Poly code for PPG paint is 2222 and when ordering paint, you MUST say that this code is from a PPG chart. You'll have to make sure that is the color you are actually looking for.

This page is from the 1969 - 1971 Dodge Truck Factory Service Manual:

The service manual lists 43807 as the Ditzler code for light green metallic. Utilizing the link Bucky posted, search for "43807" in it's search box. It'll return a result for a Dodge truck application. Now, at the far left of that result there will be a column labeled image, with three link letters. Each of these letters represents a search engine (Bing, Yahoo, Google) clicking each of them will return images with that paint color. So you can see a photo of a truck actually painted in that color, rather than looking at a chip.

Thank you guys very much. I think it is the light green poly. I’ll do research with the links you guys have given. From what I remember, it seemed like it was hard to post pictures on this forum, but I’ll try to attach a picture. There was someone who posted a 70 or 71 on market place yesterday that is the same color. Was on one of the sweptline groups. Thanks again.

Online picture resizing is what I use. :thinking :thinking Pictures need to be sized correctly to upload to group. :salut
