I just installed a reproduction of the original boot. Looks good $50 From Mega Parts.

I have recently purchased a 1965 D100 first gen with the NP435. My shifter boot is very brittle and will fall apart if moved. I have the shifter dust boot and retainer on order. But I am having a hard time finding a original outer shifter boot. Are there any companies that still sell them?
I have seen the Omix-ADA 18886.96 Outer Shift Boot replacement for a '97 Jeep Wrangler, it looks close.
What are people using?
Thanks for your assistance.

Thanks Texas2step for the link. It looks like the size is 10.5" long.
The Wrangler one; is 6"X 4.5" which seems pretty close to the opening on my flooring.

Just wondering if anyone had installed anything that worked good?

Thanks I like the look of that one, especially with the combined hold down ring.
I'm going to order one tonight.

You have to drill 4 holes in the top ring and attach with sheet metal screws. ( the clips on bottom of the ring are specific to the jeep model and don't work on our trucks. no problem)

One thing I did with my truck that has worked is to fold a "boot" out of hardware cloth that goes around the transmission tower under the "inner" rubber boot to keep rats and mice from getting up there. Don't know if this is a problem for you, but it has worked for me so far because of the stiffness of the motor mounts on the hydrobell.
