I have an original seat in my 66' and overall it's in nice shape. As you can see, there are a few places with small rips and seem trim coming off. Is there any way to stop these small tears from getting worse over time...a glue or patch?
Not that I'm aware of. Raybucks offers a sewn to fit seat cover for sweptlines. A few fellows have posted about their experiences and they all seemed good and were DIY recovers. https://raybuck.com/product-category/in ... =dw-series
I'm thinking as old as that seat cover is, removing it to install a patch panel will just create more issues.
Repairing individual panels in that seat will probably be pointless as all the material is 5 plus decades old. Use a DIY Kit as pointed out or find a reputable upholstery shop to have it redone. You have the perfect seat to use for patterns.
My truck is younger than me.
