All - Hoping you'll agree "there are no dumb questions:" I cannot figure out how to remove the door handles and window crank in my '61 Town Wagon. I want to redo the door trim panel - replacing the ugly grey fur someone put on with Fender amp grille cloth. The door handle and window cranks do not have visible set screws - as my 1961 D100 shop manual says they should. I tried prying them off - but stopped because I was worried I'd break the mechanism.
This is probably simple, but I'd rather ask than get it wrong and spend a bunch of money trying to find replacement hardware.
Thanks,
Joe

Do they have stepped chrome trim rings under them? If so, push the top ring into the base ring, drive out the small retainer pin. Handle will fall off. No trim plates, use a GM crank tool to pop the retainer clip out.
Town Wagon and Town Panel came out during the Power Giant (58-60) era. Ford, Mopar and GM all had window regulators that would fit if the stock unit failed. My 49 Pilot House truck window regulators are a direct fit swap with Ford units. As are the door latches.
No telling what has been changed out over the years.

If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Set screws are on the edge closest to the door panel. Take a closer look.

they don't have set screws, They are held in by a pin. Depress the escutcheon and you will see the pin
