Show me your seats please!!!!
I am looking to redo my interior in my 66 d-200. Still not sure if I want bench or bucket. Perhaps a seat out of a newer Dodge (I know I would have to redo brackets etc) I am curious what others have done. Share please!

2003 dodge standard cab. No its not electric.

I built my own custom frame on original slides. not using any part of the 03 seat frame.

still have some tweaking to do to the frame.

I am really digging these. I also like the idea of storage in the center for maps and such.

That's cool. Remove the headrests and the right upholstery and that looks very similar to the lifestyle buddy seat.

On my '68 ute I used 2004 ram seats( was going to have them re-done to look like the Adventurer seats...sold the truck). The '61 is the stock bench.

Re: Show me your seats please!!!!
Why do so many remove the headrest? Is it just for looks or does it hinder moving the seat all the way back?

Re: Show me your seats please!!!!
According to some people here a long time ago, the seats they chose wouldn't fit with the headrests in place. I don't remember which seats they were but the rests would hit the window and not go back far enough.wide65 wrote:Why do so many remove the headrest? Re: Show me your seats please!!!!
The factory seat actually goes back into the cab, under the window, when back all the way. As there is precious little legroom to start with, seats with headrests cut into that legroom even more because they can not be scooted back very far at all. That's why lo-back bucket swaps are so popular in these.

Good to know to look for no-headrest seats, problem on mine may be the gas tank, need the legroom and want to keep the gas tank inside. Facechicken told me Cherokee seats fit with the tank inside, but he may have short legs, don't know.66patrick wrote:The factory seat actually goes back into the cab, under the window, when back all the way.
