The key for the passenger door lock hasn't worked since I bought the truck. I got a replacement lock, had it configured to the existing key and got ready to install it.

However, when I pulled the original (left) out of the door I noticed that it was different than the one I was replacing it with.

I did a little backyard engineering and made it work. :Thumbsup

Seems to be an alignment issue inside the lock itself. I have to position the key just so before it gives.

Found some door locks and was wondering what years did they use the fridge style ones with the pin? I have some of each now, with the pins and with the levers. One question about the lever, some have the offset going out to the back of the lock, is that for the trucks or cars? was going to start listing some on ebay or email me thebaylockguy@hotmail.com
