Bumper Options?

My wife hooked the front bumper on the garage while backing out el trucko. The bumper is pulled out about an inch and a half and slightly twisted. The steel was torn just above the top mounting bolt. To get it fixed it will need to be welded, smoothed , and rechromed. I called a couple semi truck body shops and they quoted $500-$600 which is BS. What would you gentlemen recommend?
Good thing she’s hot, that bumper was absolutely perfect.

Haha! That makes it more tolerable...
Anyway, I personally like the looks of the early 70s ford bumpers on the truck. I think the factory is best, but the ford is a really nice second choice. Some guys have posted up pictures of chevy van bumpers, but I personally don't think they look that good.

You can buy a brand new chrome Ford bumper for a lot less than repairing your old one. I've seen quite a few Sweptlines running them too.

I'm guessing you have to make brackets for the Ford bumper correct. Anyone have a pic of one on a swepty?

Not to make light of your bumper, but your comment is hilarious.
I understand where you're coming from. My wife is "covered" for at least
a minor side-swipe incident.
As others have suggested, that ford bumper looks very nice on a Sweptline
and is a pretty inexpensive piece. At the most, you might have to fab up
some different frame mounts.
On the off chance that someone has a nice chrome Sweptline front bumper, I
would suggest putting an ad in the Parts Wanted section too.

Thank you again Gentlemen. I'll post a side by side pic for future reference. That Ford bumper is cheap and looks almost the same.
BTW, my wife ends up driving the pickup more than I do. No power anything or A/C and she loves driving it. She's cute and the truck is old, I think she likes all the attention she gets. Any guy is going to be impressed with a cute girl driving an old pickup.
